1. Thats the thing. If it's god's word, why would it's accuracy be dependent on the how one would interpret it? Its god! He's supposed to be powerful and all knowing. Baket magiging open for interpretation? Its his word! So no loopholes dapat dun.
2. Gravity, in terms of science is:
----Gravity (from Latin gravitas, meaning 'weight'), or gravitation, is a natural phenomenon by which all things with mass or energy—including planets, stars, galaxies, and even light—are brought toward (or gravitate toward) one another.
So being "suspended on nothing" is not a description of gravity because there's no mention of any attraction of the earth to anything else.
Furthermore, (naaaks
)...
He shakes the earth from its place and makes its pillars tremble.
— Job 9:6
Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? … Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened?
— Job 38:4-6
The pillars of the earth are the LORD’s, and he hath set the world upon them.
— 1 Samuel 2:8
“When the earth and all its people quake, it is I who hold its pillars firm.
— Psalm 75:3
Foundation:
- the lowest load-bearing part of a building, typically below ground level.
- an underlying basis or principle
Pillar:
- a tall vertical structure of stone, wood, or metal, used as a support for a building, or as an ornament or monument.
- something shaped like a pillar.
- a person or thing regarded as reliably providing essential support for something.
So is it suspended on nothing? Or standing on a pillar/foundation??
One wud say na, its "methaporical". So which one is metaphorical at which one is literal?? For a book written by a powerful being bket parang gusto pa nea malito ang readers nea. Gusto nea may dramatic effect pa pagkwento nea?? God sya db. Sana straight to the point na lang.
About the verse about rain, snow and hail..depending on the version u are using it mentions that it does not, or it will soon after returns to the heavens from that of which it came from. Assuming na thats the correct version, so the author of that book knew about the water cycle (now eh lesson toh sa grade school). So one point sa knya. How about the other stuff? Like bigger stuff like slavery, human sacrifice, rape, genocide? Logical ba ang mentions ng bible about sa mga subjects na yan?
3. Dude, wanna know lang kung how ur belief started. But this one is settled na. No more arguments hir. I got my answer na hir. And im not like "boy-unggoy" here na kukutyain ang parents mo or religion nila specifically. I have nothing againts them..just wanna know lang ung background mo..we can drop this na.
Ps:
Ive already stated my claim:
----"I dont believe that there are proofs for the existence of god"
Clear??
Ive also defined the labels u mentioned:
----Theist believes in the existence god
----Atheist does not believe in the existence of god.
----Agnostics doesntbknow if god does or does not exist.
Clear??
If hindi pa din..then im an atheist by definition.
Hope that clears it na.
