What's new

This is the average monthly salary of ASEAN countries.

The Philippines is supposed to be getting worse and worse.
How is it above Thailand and Vietnam?
I wonder if it's just the salary of the rich skewing the results since it's an average.

Probably, nasa ganyan avg ng call center paps, us based kasi yun.

Ang basis siguro ng surveys are mostly centered on employed personnel with less emphasis accounted in other areas.
The average wage can be a useful statistic, but it can also be misleading. It is important to consider the context and limitations of the data when interpreting average wage statistics. For example, the average wage may not accurately reflect the wages of certain groups of workers, such as those in low-paying or high-paying occupations. Additionally, the average wage may not take into account factors such as the cost of living in different areas. It's important to always use the average wage in conjunction with other data, such as median wage and wage distribution, to get a more complete picture of wages in a given area or industry.
