According to an exclusive report by Reuters, Google has suspended any business that requires the transfer of hardware, software, and technical services with Huawei, effective immediately. Excluded in the suspension are services publicly available through open source listings.

A source familiar with the issue disclosed to Reuters that Google's actions were done as a result of the U.S. Department of Commerce's inclusion of Huawei in its Entity List, a trade blacklist. With an executive order signed by the U.S. President Trump, Huawei is immediately restricted from buying components and parts from U.S. companies, including Android, without any approval from the U.S. government.

The suspension means that any further Android security updates will not reach any Huawei device, including the recently released P30 lineup and more. Future Huawei devices outside of China will also be banned from accessing Google services, such as the Google Play Store and the Gmail app. Users of existing Huawei devices will still be able to receive app updates provided by Google. Huawei will only have access to the version of the Android operating system via an open source license, the Android Open Source Project.

Huawei has stated that it has spent the last few years developing their own technology in case it's restricted from using Android. In an earlier statement, Huawei has also contested the decision made by the U.S. Department of Commerce.

In short term it's a blow to Huawei. In long term it's a big loss to Google. Huawei will start using it's own OS. The fact is that all Android apps source code can be compiled and used directly in Huawei OS and even runs faster as Huawei compiler compiles them to machine code directly. When Huawei OS gets popular in China, China will ban Google android and Play Store in China. That's for sure as Google, Gmail and Facebook etc have been banned in China since day 1. At that time Google will loose the largest Android market in the world.

Huawei has released its Ark Compiler (Google it you will find it) in April in China. Current Android apps source code is compiled to JVM and runs in the extra middle layer, which is slow. What Huawei Ark compiler did is that the same source code, no extra change needed on the developer side, can be compiled directly to machine code and can run 20~40% faster. In another word all current Google Play store apps can be easily re-compiled and upload to Huawei Store by app the developers with zero extra cost. The app developers have incentive to do so because the apps will run faster and is open to more customers. The Android OS will be banned in China new phone sales and eventually be replaced by Huawei OS worldwide except US.

its the other way around yata madam, remember nokia, nung nag stick pa din sila sa symbian o.s. nila kahit na mas popular na ang adriod os. di ba bumagsak ang market nila. kahit lumipat sila sa windows os mobile di pa din na isalba ang nokia company. And almost all apps ay nasa google playstore gamit ng andriod. it will take other dev na makagawa ng app nq magiging compatible sa ilalabas na o.s. ng huawei kug meron man, plus magiging costumer friendy kaya yug magiging o.s. ng huawei
