Can I use VPN to bypass the data limited by my ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Like if I have a 5GB per month data plan, can I use a VPN to use more than 5GB per month?

Answer:

No. A VPN tunnel protects the data within it by encrypting it and packaging it up. It is still data and it still traverses your Internet connection.

Not only will your data still count towards your limit, the VPN overheads will mean you're using more data than necessary.

correct me if im wrong.. diba ip masking lang ang vpn.. it will bypass if you use proxy.. ive done it and i know its bypassing.. we are talking about here the postpaid ha.. iba ang postpaid sa prepaid.. nd try to change apn.. its a tip

there are 2 kinds of vpn config.. direct and indirect config..

yung sinasabi mo na kinakain ang data alloc kasi your just using default config.. kaya ip masking lang. but if you want to bypass use indirect config.. it will use your current data but.. it will reroute to proxy .. ang middle man mo is proxy.. ang carrier mo lang ang mag dadala ng data.. pero di sa server ng carrier mo lalabas.. sa proxy side ang labas ng data..

secretaccount Thanks for the insight sir. Yes this is for postpaid. I just read that sir and just want to share this. But kung sinasabi nyo na may way para hindi macharge ang mga naka-postpaid while using proxy, can you point me kung saan ko pwede matutunan to..

I'm sorry in advance, if this info is wrong am also a newcomer/newbie and willing po ako matuto..

  • default config = Charge will be applied and running yung data mo.
