Can we trust chinese Cloud Storages (e.g Terabox)

No. Certainly not and one of this is Terabox. A lot Cloud Storages that provides 1TB+ for free have a very bad history some of them are doing exit scam, sudden reduce of the download and upload speed so you will be forced to upgrade your plan and lastly just suddenly disappears.

Terabox dumped their old version (Rebrand) and a lot of people are debating if It's a shell company or honeypot (Spying people).

Summary

• Potential exit scam,
• Sudden reduce of the download and upload speed so you will be forced to upgrade your plan.
• Just suddenly disappears.
• Your files are scanned by their AI regularly and your data is likely getting spied by the Government.
• Your privacy doesn't exist on chinese cloud storages and there is nothing you can do about that.

Pros

• 1TB+ Storage for free and more.
• Though they can spy on your data, you can simply use a software to encrypt them before uploading them. There are a lot.
• Always have plan B. So backup your data locally too while using them.

depende siguro kung anong files ang nilalagay ng isang indibidwal.

for ex: kung ako gagawa ng account sa Tera, pag a-uploadan ko lang ng mga movies yan, or other app installer. so i guess it is safe for me.

pero kung personal files, i guess it is good to be safe than sorry. so it's a no-no para sakin pagdating sa mga personal files and docs.

Yes po It really depends on the files that you are going to upload. Some movies or random files are fine except personal ones. Better safe than sorry talaga huhu

nakakainis iyan terrabox. kailangan pang gamitin yung app nila para lang makapagdownload ng file doon WTF?! Hindi rin puedeng direct to website yung downloads nila unlike sa mediafire or google drive. Ano pang silbi ng website nila na hindi puedeng downloadan gamit website nila.

I don't trust them neither kapag mag lalagay ka ng confidential files sa cloud storage na iyan. Sisilipin ng mga tsekwa yung mga confidential files mo diyan.

dito din ako nabbwisit, hirap gamitin, kelangan mo pa ata ng root access para lang makuha yung file sa app folders ng terrabox, eh yaw ko magroot, kaya nitatamad ako minsan magdownload ng movies dito nakaterrabox karamihan

In the dark web I don't know what happened to the website but there were leaked documents of countries spying including NSA there. Yes they will spy on your files and store it in their storage for analysis and probably more, It might look good because of the offer but If you look deeper in the company It's untrusted.

It's not about the vulnerability. It's about the inside, please read again also this is based from researched and leaked documents. If we include cloud storage like Pixel drain, Mega.nz, Icedrive when it comes to security and privacy than Terabox then It's as far as the sun to the earth.

Also no If you read some of my posts Its not only about china. If we were to conclude which country spies more It will be the US.
