Para sa mga Windows users na gustong sumubok ng Kodi, o kaya ay mag-test ng Kodi builds, o kaya ay mag-test ng Kodi add-ons para hindi maistorbo yung existing install ng Kodi, may option tayo na mag-create ng Kodi Portable mode. Heto ang procedure:
1. Download Windows version ng Kodi, sa download page ng Kodi (kodiDOTtv/download/), piliin ang appropriate sa inyong system, 32 bits o 64 bits. Dahil kaunti pa lang ang mga add-ons para sa Kodi 19.x, mas maiging piliin ang Kodi 18.9 na makikita sa "Older Releases" sa bandang ibaba ng download page.
2. I-plug ang USB Flash drive, 4Gb capacity or more, i-note ang drive letter sa PC. Makabubuting i-rename ang Volume Label, say Kodi-p at i-format ang USB Flash Drive sa NTFS para may kapasidad siyang mag-store ng malaking file size (3Gb or more), para sa mga movies at iba pang media files.
3. Install Kodi. Double click on Kodi Setup file > accept License Agreement > click Next sa Choose Components kung wala pang indicated version ng MS Visual C++ sa inyong system, kung mayroon na, i-untick ang box tapos click Next > Browse for Folder at i-point ang Kodi setup sa inyong Kodi-p USB drive, click Ok at hintaying matapos ang installation.
Important Note: Siguruhing walang check ang box ng Run Kodi bago i-click ang Finish button, para hindi siya mag-launch at mag-create ng Kodi folder sa Program Data.
4. Pagkatapos ng installation, buksan ang folder ng Kodi sa USB flash drive > Right click Kodi.exe, hover over Send to at i-click ang Desktop (create shortcut) > i-close ang Kodi folder.
5. Sa Desktop, i-right-click ang Kodi icon > click Properties > sa Target, maglagay ng isang space kasunod ng Kodi.exe at idagdag ang -p > click Apply at i-close ang Properties.
6. Full screen ang unang bukas ng Kodi. Para mai-resize, click Setting (cogwheel) > click System > sa Display, i-highlight ang Display Mode at piliin ang Windowed.
Ngayon, pwede nang gamitin si Kodi Portable.
