OS can affect performance of PC?

Definitely yes.
some OS are buggy. Some OS are heavy to the system..
if you're ok with modified OS, then go for ghost spectre.
if you're not a fan of modified OS then try ltsc versions of windows.
of course, you can try linux distros. very light, pero baka di ka sanay sa linux environment.

ito gamit ko sa isa kung laptop core i5 2nd gen 4GB RAM ko Nexus LiteOS

Pwedeng pwede na yan sa regular na Windows 10.

Ubuntu gamit ko. Ang kagandahan sa linux wala masyadong bloatware pero di pwede sa mga gamers kasi hindi lahat ng games gagana.

yes, depende kasi sa specs ng pc mo yung iinstall mong OS, kasi kung low specs lang hindi po pwede gumamit ng mga latest build OS dahil may mga updates and upgrades din silang ginagawa sa bawat build especially sa animation and sa GUI and sa mga process na dumagdag pa so yung mga yun kakain po talaga sya ng RAM,

kung low specs lang ang pc mo I recommend na gumamit ka ng lang ng mga modded versions like GHOST SPECTRE OS, or kung gusto mo naman ng clean OS dun ka na lang sa mga LOWER BUILD ng windows OS

yes po, kadalasan may bloatwares ang default OS, I recommend GhostSpectre Potato Edition (for low-end pc/laptop)
