Eto yata yung isang basis sa "no blood"
Genesis 9:3-4 (KJV)
"3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat."
-no meat on Ash Wed. and all Fridays of Lent (pero voluntary nga ba sa Pilipinas?)
Protestant / "Born Again" - to follow
7th Day Adventist - similar to Jewish Kosher
- pork, rabbit, and shellfish
LDS/Mormon - bawal kape + tsaa ("hot drinks")
-drinks with names that include cafe or caffe, mocha, latte, espresso, or anything ending in -ccino (usually have coffee) -cakes with coffee (tiramisu)
-encouraged to focus on wholesome herbs, grains (wheat), fruit
-meat allowed, sparingly, and in times of winter or famine
-"Halal" = allowed, may process yata pano i butcher yung animal, may prayers, etc.
-"Haram" = bawal, no alkohol ("dry")
(More details later on Sunni/Shia)
Judaism/Jew - no pork, no blood
-no water creature na walang fins & scales? Dapat de-palikpik at de-kaliskis
-bawal shellfish, lobster, shrimp, crab, catfish (hito), etc.
-bawal itlog, isda, manok (poultry), holy cow
-sa mas striktong Hindu, no alkohol, no coffee, no stimulants
Buddhist - mostly vegetarian + milk/dairy
-no eggs, poultry, fish, and meat (pero may mga meat eaters din? hmm)
-bawal 5 "pungent" (ma-amoy) spices/veggies - onions, garlic, chives, green onions/shallots?, and leeks
Sikh - to follow
