Kaspersky lab recently released the latest versions of their anti virus products. Kaspersky is still among the top 10 anti-virus products listing. Personaly, is a very good antivirus when we talk about protection, but has a big impact in my PC performance. Because so many people still use Kaspersky, I decided to do a tutorial so that you can get it for free.

The trial reset
Since I met Kaspersky, the activation method is what is known as Trial Reset. This consists in setting your trial period to 90 days always that your tests period is going to end. The disadvantage of this tool is that you have to do it manually, there is no a Auto Reset Trial, like in BitDefender.
This means everytime you notice your trial period is going to expire, you will have to repeat this job. At least for now, this is the only way

Supported products
You can Reset following products’ trial period

  • Kaspersky Antivirus 2011 to 2015
  • Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 to 2015
  • Kaspersky CRYSTAL 2.0 and 3.0
  • Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 and 10
  • Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 and 3

Kaspersky 15.0.1 [Problem]

https://computersoftware*****s.filesphc.onl/#forbidden#/2015/03/d3248-2015-02-21_09h13_29.png?w=320&h=309Before me move on, there is an additional work if you have the latest Kaspersky’s builds version.
The problem here is Kaspersky changed its registry folder name and made it 15.0.1instead of 15.0.0 and thus resulting the trial reset tool programmed to look at the folder 15.0.0 not be able to find it. If you have a 15.0.1 or older version, you will have to do an additional job which requires you to know manage registry keys. I will do my best to explain it step by step.
If you have an earlier version, like 15.0.0, just rest and skip this.

First start your registry editor, you can do it by simply hold the keys Windows + R, which start Run tool, then type regedit and hit Enter key or just click OK [Image]

For 32-bits users
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\AVP15.0.1[image] **
Rename the folder from AVP15.0.1 to AVP15.0.0 **

**Note: The folder name actually is different from product to product, AntiVirus, InternetSecurity, Pure… So try to understand which one you are looking for. For know I am installing all versions to detect the correct path. For sure, it’s a folder under the rootHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\

Run the trial reset tool and click the left button

By default, the tool starts Kaspersky automatically. If it do that, Kaspersky will fail to launch. That’s because we must return to registry editor and rename the folder from AVP15.0.0 to AVP15.0.1
Now you can enjoy your Kaspersky again

For 64-bits users
The process is exactly the same above, but the folder location is different.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\wow6432node\KasperskyLab\AVP15.0.1

Concluding…
When you run Kaspersky it will report that licence is missing. Click the link as shown below to Start Trial and you will get 30 days again.
