Yung towers is blasting 4G, 3G and 2G radio waves. There's really only a limited amount of "radio waves" dedicated to each ISP. For Dito it's LTE Bands "28, 34, 1, 41, and 52". Each LTE Band is like a WiFi signal, so even if Band 41 is slow, chances are Band 1 isn't.

In the case for this thread here, Band 28/Band 1 yung congested (Duh always Band 28 or 1 yung congested even sa Smart and Globe).

Band 28 is easily congested compared to other Bands because.

-Band 28 can provide longer range compared to other Bands.
-Band 28 can much more easily penetrate walls and building compared to other Bands.

Now, both of those points tells us na mas marami makaconnect sa Band 28 since it's easier to connect to.

Here's a description ng mga bands:

Band 28 - amazing signal coverage, easily congested, normally has high upload speed compared to download.

Band 1 - okay/decent signal coverage, sometimes is congested, normally has a symmetrical download and upload speed.

Band 41 - short range from tower and cannot easily penetrate walls, rarely or sometimes congested, normally has higher download speed than upload speed.

Yung gomo bakit kontento na ako? Kasi nilagay kasi sa advertise nila na may 5mbps cap hindi tulad sa DITO na patikim lang pala ma heavy users man o hindi may cap

Nga pala papi yung sinasabi mo network optimization na 1 minute lang san yan applicable? Kasi pag may problema sa fiber #1 palusot ng pldt is network optimization ata if I remember correctly.

Di yan optimization paps eh. Maintenance talaga yan hahahaha. Meaning either na destroyed yung Fiber Line ni PLDT, or last time na maintenance which is yung International cable nila nagmaintenance to improve speeds.

Oh, try mo mamaya paps. Sakin kasi it went as low as 14mbps eh. Using Iphone 12 Pro pa yan, not yung Pro Max hahahah.

Try mo mamaya update mo dito. Not tried ko yan since I'm back sa hometown ko hehe. Though it's a bit sad na di nila yan sinabi sa details ng Welcome Offer, especially since si Gomo nga nagsasabi niyan outright eh. Sa US nga yung plan ko back then is Verizon Unlimited na merong fine print na nakalagay "Speeds may be slower after 50GB*" hahahaha ganda diba?

Ah. Di ko yan naranasan sa'yo paps eh. Current plan namin sa pldt is 300mbps (yepz, liza soberano speed babeh hahah). Anyway, gumagamit ako ng PureVPN + Mikrotik. Consistent siya 250 mbps (because nagconfigure ako ng QoS sa Mikrotik nilimit ko yung speed to 250mbps para walang bufferbloat. Consistent rin ping niya. Highest I got was 18ms.

And of course, since gumagamit ako ng VPN, not affected ako sa mga submarine cable maintenance chuchu activities ni pldt. Pero oo nga lang as I said in a post above, there are times na mawawala lang yung net ni pldt for 1 minute, that happens at least 1 or 2 times a month. This month so far wala pang interruptions.

Didn't they have a list of compatible devices for their sim card? Isn't it self-evident that they're only for those devices and not modems, which is why you have to own one from their list before they'll sell it to you? But then again all of this is just my opinion and theory. None of them are factual information, and I do not speak for DITO. Good night

abusado na masyado, may pisowifi dito sa amin, may ads siya na Powered by DITO telco. Dafak? may Plan na pala DITO or modem na tag 1,999 tulad ng globe prepaid wifi or pldt prepaid wifi,
DAFAK !! sabi sa una hindi trusted DITO bat ni abuso nyo sabi nyo hindi trusted dahil sa china....

Unang una, almost same lang ng average speed ng smart at globe yung pinangakong average speed ni dito mas mabilis lang ng kaunti . Pangalawa, hindi pa nga sila fully launched wala pa yung grand launching nila wala pa ngang promos eh.
