1. Five ways to become a good public speaker are:

a) Practice: Practice is essential in improving public speaking skills. To become a good public speaker, one needs to continuously practice and refine their speaking abilities. This can be done by rehearsing speeches, participating in public speaking events, or even joining a public speaking club.

b) Confidence: Confidence plays a crucial role in effective public speaking. Being confident in oneself and one's abilities helps to engage the audience and deliver the message effectively. Confidence can be developed by preparing well, knowing the topic thoroughly, and having a positive mindset.

c) Knowledge of the topic: To be a good public speaker, it is essential to have in-depth knowledge of the topic being discussed. This enables the speaker to convey information accurately and answer any questions that may arise. Researching and studying the subject matter thoroughly beforehand is crucial in gaining expertise on the topic.

d) Body language: Non-verbal communication is an important aspect of public speaking. A good public speaker should pay attention to their body language, including posture, facial expressions, and gestures. Maintaining eye contact with the audience, using appropriate hand movements, and standing tall with a confident posture can enhance the impact of the speech.

e) Connection with the audience: Establishing a connection with the audience is vital in public speaking. Engaging the listeners by relating to their experiences, using humor, and telling personal stories can make the speech more relatable and memorable. Understanding the audience's needs, interests, and expectations helps tailor the speech accordingly.

2. Among the methods of speech delivery, the method I would prefer to utilize when invited for a meaningful event is the extemporaneous method. This method involves preparing and organizing the speech beforehand but delivering it in a spontaneous and conversational manner. It allows for flexibility, as the speaker can adapt and respond to the audience's reactions and feedback in real-time. This method enables a more natural and authentic connection with the listeners, making the speech more engaging and impactful.

3. The person I admire the most in public speaking, whether dead or alive, is Martin Luther King Jr. His powerful and influential speeches during the Civil Rights Movement in the United States continue to inspire generations. Martin Luther King Jr. possessed exceptional oratory skills, using his words to bring attention to important social issues and advocate for equality and justice. His speeches were filled with passion, conviction, and eloquence, leaving a lasting impact on his audience. He had an innate ability to connect with people, conveying his message in a way that resonated deeply with their hearts and minds. Martin Luther King Jr.'s dedication to peaceful protest and his ability to inspire change through his words make him an iconic figure in public speaking.
