MANILA, Philippines – Members of the Gilas Cadets squad that won gold in the 2015 Southeast Asian Games are among the 64 intriguing prospects in the upcoming PBA Rookie Draft, but it is still D-League standout Moala Tautuaa who may end up as the top pick.

The Fil-Tongan Tautuaa, who won Most Valuable Player honors in the 2015 PBA D-League Foundation Cup, has been the consensus top pick since he declared his intention to declare for the 2015 PBA Rookie Draft, according to the Please or Register to view links.

But the Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters, who own the first pick, may also consider former National University (NU) big man Troy Rosario, who shone for the Gilas Cadets in the SEA Games and has also been included in the national basketball team pool ahead of the FIBA Asia Championship.

Rosario, who helped lead the Bulldogs to a championship in UAAP Season 77, has determinedly tuned out the Please or Register to view links even as he acknowledged that he has heard rumors of where he will land.

"Marami akong naririnig. First pick, second pick mga ganoon," he said. "Pero ako, ayoko munang maniwala hanggang 'di dumarating 'yung araw."

Other members of the Gilas Cadets squad that have declared for the draft include: San Beda College point guard Baser Amer; University of Perpetual Help guard Earl Scottie Thompson; former De La Salle University guard Almond Vosotros; and former NU forward Glenn Khobuntin.

Other notable players who have entered the draft are San Beda forward Arthur dela Cruz – one of the leading MVP candidates in the NCAA Season 91 – and former San Beda star Garvo Lanete.

The PBA Rookie Draft will be held on August 23 at Robinsons Midtown in Ermita, Manila.

After Talk 'N Text, the rest of the draft order is as follows: Mahindra Enforcers; Rain or Shine Elasto Painters; Meralco Bolts; Barangay Ginebra Kings; NLEX Road Warriors; Meralco; Star Hotshots; Blackwater Elite; NLEX; Alaska Aces; and Rain or Shine
