Windows 10 Latest Cumulative Updates
Windows 10 contains major changes to Windows Update operations; it no longer allows the manual, selective installation of updates. All updates, regardless of type (this includes hardware drivers), are downloaded and installed automatically, and users are only given the option to choose whether their system will reboot automatically to install updates when the system is inactive, or be notified to schedule a reboot. Microsoft offers a diagnostic tool that can be used to hide updates and prevent them from being reinstalled, but only after they had been already installed, then uninstalled without rebooting the system.All updates to Windows 10 are cumulative. Initially Microsoft withheld information on the specific changes within each update within its KB articles. However, since early 2016 Microsoft has begun releasing more detailed information on the specific changes within each update. Windows Update on Windows 10 supports peer to peer distribution of updates; by default, systems’ bandwidth is used to distribute previously downloaded updates to other users, in combination with Microsoft servers. Users may optionally change Windows Update to only perform peer to peer updates within their local area network.

Windows update installation steps:
1. Windows version detection:
To find out which version of Windows 10 you are using:
1-1. Enter winver in the Start Menu. In the window that appears, the Version and OS Build of your Windows are listed in the second line. The version number specifies which version you should download.
1-2. If you don’t know whether your Windows is 32-bit or 64-bit, enter about in the Windows Start Menu. Enter About Your PC and see what is written in front of System Type, this determines whether your Windows is 64 or 32 bit and which version of the file you should download.
2. Download the update file and extract it from the compressed mode.
3. Proceed to install. Cumulative update installation may take up to 1 hour depending on the hardware power of the system.
4. Restart your system. Restarting the system is necessary at this point.
Hints:
Windows 10 updates for download are cumulative and include all previous updates without needing the previous update.
– These updates only update Windows Build and do not affect the version number. In other words, your Windows will be updated but not upgraded to a new version.
– If your Windows is not one of the versions available for download, you must update Windows online and automatically.
– It is better to restart the system once before updating Windows and install the updates after the device is ready to work.
– It is recommended not to perform any activity with the system during the installation of updates (especially comprehensive updates).
– There is no need to connect to the Internet during any of the update installation steps.
