Closed Wifi laptop

ask ko lang po bakit ganito po, this is my situation meron po ako dalawang laptop, so ang issue po is . bakit hindi po sila parehas lakas ng wifi sumagap ? nasa kapitbahay po kasi ung wifi nakikiwifi lang ako. same area ko din naman po nilalagay yung dalawang laptop . pero bakit mas mabagal po sumagap ung isa kong laptop, acer po yung mabilis sumagap ,tapos yung mabagal po is HP. any troubleshooting expert here ?

Wag masyadong negative sa mga naghahanap ng tulong. If you can't help better keep quiet. Here's how to troubleshoot that:

1. You have to identify the model number of your laptop as you said ang HP ang may mahinang signal so you have to identify what model example; HP 430 notebook..
2. once you identify, go to google and search for the drivers example; "HP 430 notebook drivers for windows xp/vista/7/8/10"
3. Select the links that comes from hp website refrain from downloading from third party websites.
4. Once you have find the drivers, try to find the network drivers and identify the versions and the driver date it was issued from the website and the one installed in your laptop.
5. To identify what version of your network driver is installed just go to desktop right click on My Computer/This PC(I assume you have windows 7 and up OS installed)
6. on the upper left corner click "device manager" and a window will open
7. Click on the arrow down of the "network adapters" you should find something like atheros, etc...
8. Right click on that then select "properties"
9. Click on the "drivers" tab you'll see the information of your network drivers i.e. driver date and driver version
10. Compare the version what you saw on the official website and compare if it is the same.
11. If not, you have to download and install the latest drivers for your network adapters.

Ganito po kasi yan madam. Depende po kasi sa laptop manufacturer yan kung ano ang gagamitin nilang brand ng wifi adapter like ralink, atheros etc. Yung mga wifi adapter po ibat ibang klase yan. Yung mga frequency nila iba iba din, the higher the frequency, the less distance it can reliably travel.

Meron din po tayong tinatawag na transmit power ng mga wifi adapter.depende po sa manufacturer yung default kung gaano kalakas, usually 20 dbm lang transmit power. kung sa linux os po sana pwede natin palakasin yan hanggang 30dbm para mag boost signal. Ginagamit po yan sa pag pepenetrate ng ibang network. Actually by law, hanggang 27 lang ang allowed.

Sa windows naman po, we can only switch to the highest allowable transmit power in the device manager.

To do this,

go to device manager >network adapters>wlan device properties>transmit power select highest.

Kung naka set naman na po sa highest at mahina padin, sorry pero hanggang dun lang talaga yung strength ng wifi adapter natin.

Ang pwede po natin gawin, gagamit tayo ng high gain usb wifi adapter na may antenna para yun ang gagamitin natin pang wifi para makaconnect with a stronger signal

kasi ate minsan may mga bagay na nakakaapekto din sa pagsagap ng wifi mo bukod sa brand na ginagamit ng manufacturer...katulad ng mga pader, electrical wirings atbp...
