Remote Administration Tool (Remote Access Trojan) is a software which, once installed on victim’s computer or smart phone allow a remote user to control and access the system. RATs can be used legitimately by system administrators, or they can be used maliciously.
Features:
There are a variety of methods by which they are installed on a computer or smart phone: Various social engineering tactics can be employed to get a user to open the executable, they can be bundled with other pieces of software, they can be installed as the payload of a virus or worm, or they can be installed after an attacker gains access to a system through an exploit.

Yung unang RAT na ginamit ko ung DarkComet free pa sya noon around 2012 (hindi ako sure ah), kaso inabuso ng syrian government kaya tinanggal na ng developer. So sa mga script kiddies dyan, di-nownload lang at feeling pro häçker na! Haha! Okay lang yan, dahil dun naman talaga tayo mag sisimula. Pero ung mga yan ay tools lang! häçking is kung paano mo maiinstall ung mga tools na yan sa victim. Though madaming types of häçking, ex. webiste häçking na nag de-deface ng website. So iun dati puro download lang ako, at naexperience ko na ung dinownload ko e may palaman din pala na virus. Kaya nag iingat nako sa pag download ng mga RAT.
So way back 2014, release ng Watch_Dogs na video game. Dito ako na inspire na gumawa ng sarili kong RAT. Java ung language na napili ko dahil cross-platform siya, pd sa linux, macOS at windows. Then na-code ko naman ung pinaka base framework ng RAT ko. Tapos sakto 4th year college ako noon at meron kaming pre-thesis na Home Automation na pwede ma control ung mga appliances gamit ung android phone, ginamit ko ung code ko sa aking RAT para sa thesis namin.
Project discontinued last Q1 of 2015. Re-write to c++/qt framework last 2016. Re-write to ruby on going development, beta to be released on November 2017. Kaso sobrang busy sa trabaho kaya ngayon Jan 2018 ko palang natapos ung beta sa ruby version. Alam mo ung feeling na hindi dati dinadownload ko lang ito ah, pero ngayon ako na nagcode. Sarap sa feeling. Pero hindi ko ito ginagamit malicously, gusto ko lang talaga matuto at mag gain ng knowledge.
