Rod Maceda Forever Grateful to Miss Universe giving his song "Tambay" a total of 343,000 ORGANIC Streams and still increasing via FB reels TikTok videos and Spotify

CEBU CITY - Due to unknown reasons of getting shadowed/suppressed/limited reach on social media, Rod Maceda took Damian Keyes and Kristine Mirelle's advice to step up and find another way to get his songs heard.

The official music video of Tambay - an original Bisaya song by Rod Maceda has reached a total of 20,000 organic views. No boost. No bots and no auto-likes. However, it has been slowed down by the system since 2021 for unknown reasons and some people couldn't find the video even though they had clicked the link. He tried to boost it but it got disabled.

The 40-year-old singer/songwriter tried to reach out to other FM radio stations to get airplay, but only AM radio station DYFX 1305kHz Radyo Agila opened its door to let him perform live on air to promote his music.

After that, Rod Maceda asked his team Ms. Juo and Ms. Gracie to change strategy. Instead of complaining, Rod finds solutions.

Tambay gets streamed via FB reels and TikTok videos as background music. The most popular reel with thousands of organic likes is the Miss Philippines Walk in the Miss Universe beauty pageant led by Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray with other Miss Universe Philippines Runner-ups. The song is now reaching half a million organic listens.

Rod Maceda opined:

"Flop is when your songs go viral several times with million views, but still can't have a sold-out tickets solo major concert. It's a sad case.
Suppressed is when your songs couldn't get a boost and deprived of media mileage despite of its good quality.

And guess what? I'm in the second one. But complaining is a waste of time and energy. That's why I'm glad I followed Damian Keyes and Kristine Mirelle's advice.

Tap your paying fanbase. It doesn't have to be millions of followers. There's nothing to it. You can have a small fanbase but sell records using your own funnel. That's from Kristine.

If your music video is no longer getting views on social media despite of daily shares, change strategy by releasing your songs in a different platform. Make other videos using your song as background music. That's from Damian Keyes.

It worked for me."

He added:

I believe that people may not like my music, but at least they were able to hear it via FB reels. I can say my song got heard and that's what matters. It's up to the public if they would push it to become a classic hit. I don't want to go viral. I want to become a classic hit.

"I've been getting tons of messages from agencies and programmers offering services to make my songs go viral worldwide. I did not respond. I will never pay for auto-likes and auto-bots.

If the time comes my songs or videos reached millions of people, I would be proud to say it's organic. It would be easier to sell records that way and I see myself having my own solo major concert after 4 or 5 years.

Rod Maceda updates his fans and followers about what's in store for him: Full Album Music Tour in 2023 onwards and Script Development for a Net Series He Is Starring In

CEBU CITY - After Rod Maceda had released his first three original Bisaya songs from his self-titled album on Spotify, he told Pagilas Insider Jonalyn Bacalso that three more songs are to follow and the official musical videos will also be released.

According to a zoom interview, Rod says he will be finishing two more Bisaya Bomba Films while developing the script for a major net series he is writing, producing, directing and starring in.

And his message to his fans and followers asking him to dance on TikTok:

"It's not like I'm making a short film every month just for the sake of having a content. I'm not a content creator. I'm a digital full length feature filmmaker ever since so there will be months na tahimik talaga ako because Aya Sanada and I have been developing movie scripts. We don't want to rush things para lang masabi na may movie na agad agad. Hindi naman ako nagmamadali. I know my place in the Bisaya Showbiz Industry and I'm not really the TikToker guy. I tried... I really did pero ang baduy ko tingnan sa TikTok. May binabagayan kasi yan at sila yung mga successful happy free-spirited amazing TikTokers. May TikTok naman ako pero nagpu post lang ako ng promotions ng music ko or events or movies. Yun."

Can you tell us about this script development for a major net series you're starring in?

"Hmmm... ayoko mag spoiler. Basta... abangan nalang nila. It's going to be worth the wait. I still have to finish two more Bomba Films kasi. Tapos nag a undergo ako ng intensive physical training ngayon for that series."

Action series ba ito?

"No. Medyo may konti.. siguro... pero hindi... it's more on human drama. Basta abangan nalang nila. Allow me to develop the script the same way na ginawa ko sa WCN before ako naging Bomba Films actor."

The 40-year-old Bisaya artist says he will be promoting his album next year at vegan restaurants and sports complex.

It's a monthly episode kind of drama anthology series and I'm very excited because the first three episodes are under my direction, production and screenplay. And after that, I'd be very happy to let fresh and young directors, scriptwriters and line producers to take over. Kasi I've just finished developing a script for my own major net drama series... I can't tell you guys the title. Basta... mahirap na. It's a family drama... human drama... parang ganun... tapos may twist hehe. Ready to shoot na kami for the pilot sa 2023.
