PSA: Using Kaspersky Total Security could randomly soft-lock your computer during boot

Background story:

I've been using Kaspersky for the first time again in years as my antivirus software of choice, na masaya naman ako since magagamit ko yung Total Security suite, technically, for free for over a year (if you know what I mean). Nitong January 2023 lang nagstart ito, following yung expiration ng subscription ko ng BitDefender. Pero base sa experience ko, may random occurrences, frequent even, na magko-cause yung system na ma-soft-lock while booting. At least, in my case, using a Windows 10 laptop. By "soft-lock," I mean yung system ay ma-i-stuck sa blackscreen at ang only way na maaayos siya ay via forced shutdown (hold the power button for several seconds until the system fully shuts down). Mapapansin mong nagfully shutdown na yung system pag merong nagflicker sa screen o hindi na siya illuminated somehow. Ayun, kada forced shutdown ko naman, lagi naman okay yung following boot up. I know for certain na specific ito sa Kaspersky mismo since hindi ko naman ito na-e-encounter dati while using a different AV software (Windows Defender, BitDefender, or Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware).

In spite of the situation, irerecommend ko pa rin ba ang Kaspersky as an AV solution?

Yes, definitely. Isa ang Kaspersky sa mga reputable AV providers out there, base na rin sa claims ng mga tech experts online. Hindi siya perfect as a solution, but then again nothing is. Pero base sa experience ko, very satisfactory naman yung security niya. I mean, may mga websites akong na-a-access noon na parang walang issue, then all of a sudden may suspicious downloads pla sa background na nadedetect at naba-block ng Kaspersky. Maaaring false positives lang yun. But, still, better safe than sorry.
