Implementing Rules and Regulations of Sim Card Registration Act

Tama TS. Nung nagpa KYC tayo sa GCash, binigay natin ung info natin, picture and/or a live video in some cases, a valid ID is also required. They need our info in order for us to use their services. Ganun din nung mag open tayo ng Binance accounts, they require our info in order to give us additional access to a number of features. We need to read, understand and accept their Terms of Service (Terms and Conditions) para magkaroon tayo ng access. I guess ganun din ung kailangan nating gawin once we register our sim cards. Other people see it beneficial while others don't because of privacy issues. We may all agree na wala naman pilitan magpa register but the question is, magagamit kaya natin ung service nila if hindi tayo nag agree dun sa Terms of Service nila? Well sa akin, I'll register and opt in to further use their services after ko mabasa ung complete IRR. If I see some irregularities or data breach (wag naman sana), I bet may nakalatag na fine print dun sa TOS nila wherein we can file a complaint or a case sa proper forum (probably bayaran ka nila if it has caused you damages financially or emotionally). Busisiin nating mabuti ung IRR once ilabas na, then we can decide.

I clicked the link doon sa NTC site re IRR but the webpage says the post has been moved.

There is a probability na partly galing GCash ung data leak pero we also need to consider other elements. We had filled out contact tracing forms in the past 2 years which could have been used din by scammers to sms blast. We don't even know baka tinapon lang kung saan saan ung mga papel na sinulatan natin ng name, number and other info natin. It could also be from lazada and shopee delivery tags na hindi nadidispose ng maayos. I sometimes get sms with my first name and last initial kahit sa mga non GCash numbers ko. Malaki ung market ng lead generation. I don't use my personal number when I sign up whenever I enter sa mga local establishments during the pandemic or even prior to that pero I still receive scam sms like ung sa ****** sms na laging may link saka ung mga online ******. Minsan may name, minsan wala, minsan naman first name lang and minsan nickname lang. My mom doesn't use GCash pero she still receives ****** sms with and without her first name.

Breach ba yun?

GCash denied the alledged data breach or data leak on their system that's why they introduced an update to hide some characters on the account holders name.

Maya on the other hand didn't wait for it to happen on their part so they introduced usernames instead of real names.

I think for students 18 years old and above, malamang sa pumayag si PTEs sa School IDs.

well wala na tayong magagawa batas na yan unless may mag cocontest sa Supreme court about the constitunality ng batas at its IRR ok sana if nasa Government ang data ubligasyon nila ang privacy but with the telcos ehem.

As usual motives, ano pa ba bakit pinush yan. 🙃 Di ako magugulat one time mas madami nang own info makikita sa scam messages and calls. Hahaha

Hirap s id , sana included man kahit barangay id which is easy to get .
May nabasa ako s isang comment on a other thread pede daw po barangay clearance with picture on the top right legit po ba yun?

might be pero i think at least two (2) secondary ids siguro. for example, barangay clearance with picture plus police clearance
