Assuming God does not exist in any way, the claims of having seen, heard, and felt God can be explained away as one or more of the following,
- Hallucinations caused by any number of things from mental illness to a desire so strong your brain invents a sensation to your brain being fooled into experiencing something that isn’t there, as with pareidolia.
- Lying and pretending to have experienced God when they didn’t out of fear of being ostracized and condemned for not being good enough. That despite their attempts to be a good God fearing Christian/Catholic/etc they had not experienced the Lord and the fear of what that could entail.
- Lies told by people to create systems of control in order to amass power and wealth
