Just like programming, every programming language has had a unique functions. Both of those two courses are really good. If you want to know CS and CE then you must have to take up those two courses or you just have to self study.

1. Study whatever your profs are asking you to study.
2. Tackle one programming language at a time, i.e JavaScript and learn it for the whole semester.
3. Learn soft skills

if you're considering to take computer science as your major, you need to take it seriously. as in, hindi yung nagandahan ka lang or copy paste para makapasa lang. it will bite you big time after college pagka grumaduate ka ng walang alam. remember that solid skills on programming = good salary.

mag aral na C at OOP.
Sa C dapat makabisado mo at least kung paano mag traverse sa array at mag define nga function.
sa OOP naman advice ko is pag aralan kung paano mag define nga objects.

You have to learn to focus on your schooling and not on cute girls around you. Sa course kasi natin need talaga ng focus para makuha mo and matutunan.

PERO ewan ko kung bakit lahat ng natutunan ko sa school di ko naiapply sa work ko now as a web developer. haha

Computer Science graduate ako. Karamihan ng ginagawa ko dito sa office hindi ko natutunan sa school. Stackoverflow at google ang nagturo sa akin. hahaha

Kahit mag advance study ka actually ang makukuha mo lang is around 10-30% of knowledge sa kanila,
the other 70% ikaw mag bi-build sa actual experience sa trabaho,

make sure you know this following before you graduate kasi yan ang basic requirements pag nag trabaho ka sa actual development fields:

Git && Github - Version Control
SSH
HTTP / HTTPS and APIs
Basic Terminal Usage
Research
Data Structures and Algorithms
Character Encodings
Design Patterns

marami naman fields sa it eh. kung ndi ka magaling sa programming pwede ka parin mag QA kung magaling ka magtest ng applications. pwede ka rin maging Business Analyst kung magaling ka mag analyze ng problem at alam mo kung anong solution sa problem hindi mo nga lang maiprogram pero alam mo kayang iprogram ng mga magaling sa programming. kung magaling ka naman sa hardware pwede ka rin sa Support. kung sa networking ka naman magaling sa Network Administration ka. meron din sa Database Administration... Meron nga sa office namin taga approve lang ng deployment packages namin eh.. tatanungin nya lang kung na approve na ng product owner at QA.. approve na agad. pwede din maging project manager.

so kung Comsci graduate ka, pinaka maganda talaga kung magiging developer ka, kasi andun pinaka malaki ang sweldo. pero kung ndi ka talaga magaling sa programming marami pang ibang positions ang pwede. malaki parin naman ang sweldo. .
