Hi forumers. bago lang ako at dito ako napadpad kaka-google kung pano ma-bypass yung 800mb cap ng globe.
before i ask my specific questions, eto setup ko:
-google nexus 5 android phone (LTE enabled), globe prepaid sim na LTE, registered to unlisurf na 999 for 30 days (di yata yan yung exact na tawag sa promo. sorry nalimutan ko haha)
-a pc and a laptop with wi-fi
what i do: turn on mobile data on my phone, status indicator says "LTE" (not H or E), consistent to, maganda coverage dito sa amin.
then turn on mobile hotspot para makakonekta rin mga computer ko.
i'm doing really well and i'm very happy with my internet speed... until globe texts me na quota na ko. sobrang nakakabitin at nakakabadtrip. my phone indicator still says LTE, pero sobrang bagal na nya.
bago niyo sabihin na "ano ba yan, di ba 'to nagbabasa/nagreresearch", kung san-san na po ako dinala ng google para itry tong mga to: ultrasurf, hotspotshield (both on my computer and on my phone), VPN, changing/using different proxies, modifying my APN. walang gumagana (sa ngayon).
di sa pagyayabang (dahil di naman ako talaga IT pro or what), pero usually pag gantong may problema akong hindi ko alam regarding computers and gadgets, google ko lang, mabilis ako makagets at sumunod sa instruction, di ko na kailangan magtanong. pero ngayon i'm at my limit, kaya gumawa na ko ng topic, and i believe kayo ang makakatulong sakin with my specific situation.
also worth noting, when i run the speedtest app sa phone ko (after reaching the cap), yung speed nya pumapalo pa rin ng LTE speeds, and it's the same pag binuksan ko yung speedtest.net sa computer ko (while being connected to my hotspot), pero sobrang bagal pa rin ng internet (i use YøùTùbé to test it, both on phone and pc). therefore, i kinda get the idea na andun pa rin yung natural na speed nya, na baka may binoblock lang silang specific ports to slow down my speed, at pag nahulaan ko yung port na di nila binablock and use it, i could get back that normal speed (anyway, medyo long shot theory to, pero sinabi ko na rin baka may someone dito na nakakaalam)
tl;dr
with all those given facts, eto ngayon ang mga tanong ko:
1) lumagpas na kasi ako ngayon sa 800mb as of this posting. effective lang ba yung fixes na pinost nyo dito sa forum (ultrasurf, hotspotshield, etc) BAGO ko maabot yung 800mb? (kung YES ang sagot dyan, that would probably explain kung bat walang gumaganang fix sakin sa ngayon)
2) kung hindi pwede and i have to wait tomorrow para bumalik yung normal speed, okay, sure. but having seen my setup, what fix do you recommend para di na to mangyari ulit sakin? (ex. ultrasurf, hotspotshield, proxy, etc) (or yung hanggat maari sana yung di ko na kailangan mag-install. yung hotspotshield kasi daming ads. haha)
3) let's say napagana ko na sya dito sa PC ko, and nakakapag d0wnload na ko ng normal kahit lagpas 800mb. ano naman ang recommended fix sa mismong phone ko? for example, magdownload ako ng app na lagpas 800mb sa google play store. pwede ko ba ma-bypass yun? proxy or APN settings or VPN maybe? reset data usage counter?
