Tutorial Pfsense or wifi for rent tutorial

Greetings !
Im gonna teach all of you how to install and make captive portal for your wifi !
first what is captive portal
Captive portal eto ay isang systema na pwedeng iinstall o build in na sa isang modem.

What can captive portal do ?

• Can set bandwidth connection in client/user.
• Can set a portal that can log-in via USER/VOUCHER
• etc

Requirements :

1. MODEM (ANY MODEM THAT HAVE WIFI CONNECTION at SET OPEN SECURITY PASSWORD)
2. LAPTOP OR DESKTOP BASTA PERSONAL COMPUTER WITH 2 ETHERNET CONNECTION (Either LAN TO LAN OR LAN TO WLAN)
3. UTP CABLE/INTERNET CABLE
4. INTERNET(much better if fibr)
5. PFSENSE.ISO
6. VIRTUAL MACHINE.EXE

STEPS :

1. Connect and plug in your wifi router.
2. open your pc and download and install virtual machine (any version) and pfsense [32-bit=i386][64-bit=amd64] pick what you needs
3. connect utp cable/internet cable to your lan1 and make sure that you connect your wifi or lan1
4. after install vm and download pfsense.iso goto NETWORK AND INTERNET SETTINGS
5. then change adapter options and rename your lan2 as SWITCHHUB
6. after that right click the switchhub lan and goto properties !
7. double click internet protocol version 4 (tcp/ipv4)
8. click use the following ip address :
9. type this
   IP ADDRESS : 192.168.2.200
   SUBNET MASK : 255.255.255.0
   DEFAULT GATEWAY : 192.168.2.1
   
   PREFFER DNS SERVER : 192.168.2.1
   ALTERNATIVE DNS SERVER : 8.8.4.4
   THEN CLICK VALIDATION SETTING UPON EXIT AND CLICK OK .
10. then open vmware/virtual box
11. click new selecrt type BSD and freebsd(32-bit) in my case
12. put a name pfsense and 512 mb memory size and file location and size set to 20gb
13. go to storage click cd icon at attributes then choose virtual optical drive
14. select your pfsense iso. goto network tab
15. click attachment to : (select bridge adapter) choose your (wifi or lan1 ung connected sa internet)
16. then go to adapter 2 and select attachment to : (select bridge adapter) choose your lan2 or ung connected sa modem nyo na walang internet.
17. then ok ! and start your virtual machine with pfsense.iso

PFSENSE INSTALLATION

1. wait for TIMEOUT BEFORE AUTO BOOT CONTINUES ( SECONDS) the press i
2. you will enter in blue background and select by using arrow keys ACCEPT THESE SETTINGS
3. then quick / easy to install wait for kernel configuration
4. select standard kernel
5. then vmbox display reboot or return select task ( before select reboot kindly click the cd icon at the bottom of vmbox then remove disk from virtual drive and force remove the .iso
6. and wait for boot up ......

PFSENSE CONFIGURATION

1. after pfsense installation wait for the boot up.. then if say that do you want to set up vlan first? TYPE n
2. enter wan interfacename = em0 , enter lan interfacename = em1 ...... do you want to proceed ? y
3. if you see welceom to pfsense version ** ek ek ek ek etc
4. open your browser and type this : 192.168.2.1 if says that its unsafe click advance then click 192.168.2.1(unsafe) to proceed
5. type admin user : admin password : pfsense

DONE !

CAPTIVE PORTAL CONFIGURATION .

1. select services - > captive portal -> click icon add
2. input your zone name and description
3. click enable captive portal
4. select interface LAN
5. check the box of disable concurrent logins
6. authentication : local user manager / vouchers (uncheck allow only user group......)
7. then save and click the (e) to edit.
8. and go to vouchers tab
9. click enable vouchers then save. after that go back to voucher tab
10. at the voucher rolls click the + sign
11. enter any roll # . then minute per ticket and count how many voucher generate and comment if 1hr 2hr etc.
12. after that go back to vouchers tab and click the (blue i sign ) to download generated voucher....

NOTE : BEFORE TRY THIS ON YOUR PHONE RESTART YOUR PFSENSE FIRST !
to restart .... diagnostics - > reboot ..... wait for your pfsense client go and boom its finish..
