================================================================

WARNING: THIS THREAD IS ONLY CONCERNED WITH PR2 AND PR2L FIRMWARES ONLY. IF YOU HAVE A DIFFERENT DEVICE AND HAVE IDENTIFIED ITS BOARD VERSION (MY2108), TRY FLASHING IT WITH AVAILABLE DIFFERENT FIRMWARE FROM OTHER TELCO, DOWNLOAD AND REPLACE THE RELIABLEDATA.BIN FROM THE FIRMWARES PROVIDED TO OPENLINE.

Credits to Sir You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Log in or register now. for the original MIFI firmwares and tools. Thanks to totoymola11 for providing a working FX PR2 firmware.

You can help other Marvell MIFI users by sharing your working firmware in each respective model by posting it here. Or you can start experimenting with your own device with various Web UI by porting different firmwares but there is always risk in doing so, like totally bricking the device and stuff. Consider yourself warned.

Note: Do this at your own risk. I will not take any responsibility for any damages or errors your device might experience. If you follow the instructions by letter, you'll end up succeeding in flashing the device. Don't worry this device isn't easily brick-able but it isn't unbreakable. So you'll be able to try again many times, but minimize failure.

Instructions:

  1. Download the tools and driver and your specified firmware (FX PR2 or FX PR2L).
  2. Extract the downloaded archives for later use.
  3. List down the IMEI, MAC and S/N which is written on the back of your device for later use.
  4. Run the SWDownloader.exe from the extracted firmware folder.
  5. Select the .blf file from the SWD folder in the extracted firmware folder.
  6. Make sure the erase all flash is ticked.
  7. Click the green bulb icon and connect your device using USB Cable with the battery removed.
  8. Wait until the flashing is done and disconnect it from the USB cable.
  9. Insert the battery and other telecom sim card (other sim cards besides SMART to check whether the unlocking is successful). Don’t connect yet to the device’s wi-fi because it might still have connectivity issues due to incorrect IMEI, MAC and S/N Configuration between the firmware and the hardware.
  10. Turn on your device and hook it up to your PC using your USB Cable.
  11. Run your Device Manager on your PC (Windows)
  12. Update the driver of “Mobile AT Interface” and “Mobile AT Diag” by browsing the driver files which you have extracted earlier.
  13. Run the “MIFITOOL1.0.0.3.exe” which you have extracted earlier.
  14. Select the COM port no which the Marvell “AT Interface” is connected. Then input your device’s info which you have listed down earlier and click the button beside the text box as indicated. If successful in each Info write, the app will display a light green Chinese Character. Use the Read Back function to check whether you changed your Device’s Info.
  15. Reboot your device and Connect.
  16. Access your dashboard by entering 192.168.1.1 in your browser and using "smartbro" credentials for username and password.
  17. Success!

For First Time Flashers you will need to install this WTPTP Driver first to your computer.

If you are having problems with picking up your desired signal please post your device name and your area. If possible, you can open up your device hardware and try to find the board version written on the printed circuit board. The lines written on it should be like "L02E_1_8_1" or "L02D*" near the LCD or LED indicators and post it here. But remember, opening up your device hardware might remove the device's warranty. So the choice is yours to make.

Kahit po ba access sa dahboard tapos change ung MAnual Network?

If possible na kaya nyo buksan ung hardware ng device, makikita nyo dun sa loob ung board ver. if L02E_1_8_1 ung written sa printed circuit board, the firmware should work well. Pero kung ibang board version, pa post na lang para hanapan natin ng tamang firmware.

wala talaga signal boss :(
