Closed My 1tb seagate external hard drive cannot be detected and the light is blinking

Try to use different USB cord, there are cords that is generally made just for charging

It could also be your PC or laptop, try plugging it to a different one

actually, ung basic troubleshooting na try ko na din po eh... na try ko na din iplug sya sa ibang laptop and pc.. and even sa usb ng Flat TV ko to try if its working.. wala din po... just the light of my external hd is still blinking. . . .

is there any authorize service center here in the philippines for SEAGATE.. . . .

when was the last time you get into your external hard drive? try to remember and restore your operating system to that particular date and time you access your external hard drive, hope this one helps

ganito na lang po sir, since nasa loob ng enclosure ang hard drive, try to disassemble it and put the hard drive to your laptop, tingnan mo kung madedetect pa.

Service center? Then check first seller or store warranty, then if not applicable, check the serial no. Go to the website of seagate check serial no. Check there if warranty is still applicable, ans seach the net for distro warranty, minimal fee lang po yaan to get a new one.

If not applicable again, theres factor that your casing usb port is damage within but the hd itself, try to buy an external casing

i'd tried the enclosure but it doesnt work... still the same.. i think nsa loob na talga ang problem ng hard disk...

try mo muna pre kung madedetect disk management > press and hold windows logo + r > tas type diskmgmt.msc pag nadetect right click mo volume tas assign drive letter : pag nadetect pero unallocated space nakalagay, kelangan yan format. tapos sa recovery magDL ka n lng ng KALI linux.iso gawa ka bootable flash drive tas pag nakalog on ka sa linux os , may recovery tools don, forensic recovery yta.. mas mganda sya kesa recuva kasi kahit nareformat nareretrieve yung ibang files basta di naoverwrite. -- sa file recovery do it at your own risk bro better search for reviews na din about kali linux file recovery para sure.

Na-try mo na ba tignan sa hardwares and devices sa control panel kung di talaga nadedetect?

Do you hear ticks or sounds coming from the HDD na wala naman dati?

Kung wala naman strange noises at nadedetect naman ang HDD sa hardwares and devices, malamang sa enclosure connection mo lang ang sira.

You can try to remove the HDD from its enclosure, search mo kung papaano or have someone do it for you. Then, connect your HDD through sata connections.

As soon as you detect the HDD, you retrieve the files already. I used easeus recover application in my case. It worked.
