Just recently, naging problema ko eto, wala pang 7 days ng makuha ko ang Oplus Grande handset at syempre, since i want to protect my privacy, i explored the phone at manually changed the default settings and put an anti-theft password. but then after i replaced the simcard with my other one, dun na sya humingi ng privacy password.
A little disappointed 'coz wala pang 7days na purchased ang phone and kung ipapa-repair sya mismo sa Service Center ng Oplus ay may bayad ng Php500. any forum na mapuntahan ko looking for the solutions ay wala akong makita, so i contacted the Oplus USA and emailed them my concerns, and here's what they replied to me on how we can bypass it legitimately ...

First of all, during the set-up of the privacy protection password, you were asked to input multiple Mobile Phone Numbers as your Emergency Contacts.
You will need to have access to one of these phones for us to unlock the device. These contacts would have received a notification that the SIM was changed on your phone. Follow other procedure to fully unlock your device:
a. Kindly ensure a SIM with regular load.
b. Remove/ reinsert the SIM on to your O+ device.
c. If the sim gets removed, a notification goes to your Emergency Contacts ( e.g . friends or relatives, other personal number).
Message shows " Your Sim card has been changed or phone might be stolen".
d. Once notification SMS has been received, reply with #opluspin# . Make sure to get a regular load to continue.
e. A new SMS will be sent back including the latest PIN to unlock your phone.
f. Use this PIN to your O+ handset. Take note of this code as you can use it each time you change your SIM.

Im sure kahit mabasa ng magnanakaw to hinde prin nya maoopen ang phone.
Gudluck!
