Haunting adventure game Fran Bow makes its way to App Store

It seems that, lately, when we talk adventure games we’re talking about Telltale and their line of games which border on interactive movies. Late last week (everything happens when you’re on You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Also, it’s nothing like Telltale. Simogo, maybe, but definitely not Telltale.

Fran Bow was released last year for PC/Mac on You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. It tells the tale of a young girl who witnessed her parent’s murder and is sent to an asylum for disturbed children. Unfortunately, her cat isn’t allowed at the asylum so she escapes to look for Mr. Midnight and find her aunt, who is her last living relative. The game has a bit of an Alice in Wonderland meets Pan’s Labyrinth vibe as Fran must self medicate to enter another world in which reality is, well, unreal. The game is beautifully drawn in 2D with encounters that look ripped from the cards of You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Log in or register now..

Fran Bow is broken up into five chapters but instead of releasing one app and offering the remaining apps as DLC, the developer Killmonday Games decided to offer each chapter as a separate app. Thus, you can find them as follows:

Each chapter will run you $2.

Check out the trailer after the break. It’s sufficiently creepy that you’ll want to check it out.
