FOCUS is now on Jamal Crawford as the Cleveland-Brooklyn talks about a trade deal involving Joe Johnson has fallen through.

Earlier reports said Johnson could be on the way to Cleveland, which is looking to add firepower after falling just short of the NBA title.

But a deal hasn’t been worked out and You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Log in or register now.’s Mike Mazzeo tweeted that colleague Chris Broussard that the talks are dead and the Cavaliers haven’t spoken with the Nets in three days.

The clock is ticking on the Cavaliers to make use of their biggest trading chip, Brendan Haywood and his non-guaranteed contract of $10.5 million for next season.

But the Cavs-Nets deal would have involved not only Haywood but Anderson Varejao, while a Clippers deal would not require the inclusion of the Brazilian big man who is returning from an injury layoff.
