You might be wondering why Safe Mode is such an important thing on our Android phones. This post will explain to you the purpose of safe mode along with the usage of safe mode on Android smartphones.

Although this feature is not available on all Android smartphones, most of them have it. By turning ‘Safe Mode’ ON on our Android smartphone, we are ordering our phone to run as per the default settings, thereby preventing it to run on any third party applications.

If ever you find any function like (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or any other built-in function) not working properly in our Android smartphone, then turn ON the safe mode on the Android phone. This makes sure that the phone does not run on any third party apps. Now check to see if the problem persists. If the problem is solved, then we can easily decide that a recently installed/updated app is the culprit. Uninstall that app and turn Safe Mode OFF. This will most probably solve the problem. If the problem still persists, then we can come to a conclusion that other troubleshooting is required.

How to turn on Safe Mode in Android:

Now that we have seen how advantageous Safe Mode can be, we will look at how to turn it on on our Android device. Bringing an Android device into Safe Mode depends on the model and make of the device as each model&make employs a different method to boot the device into Safe Mode.

For all the Samsung Galaxy devices:

- Turn off the Android device

- Press the power button to turn it ON and wait until the ‘Samsung‘ logo appears.

- Then press and hold the ‘Menu‘ key until the device enters the Safe Mode.

To uninstall an application from Android in Safe Mode:

Go to Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications from your phone. From the list of apps that will be displayed, tap on an application that you wish to uninstall and then proceed to uninstall.

How to exit from Safe Mode in Android:

To make the phone come out of Safe Mode into normal working mode, all you need to do is restart your phone once. The phone will come out of Safe Mode automatically.
