INGREDIENTS:
- 1 kg chicken wings (2.2 lbs)
- 3 tbsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
Sauce:
- ¼ cup orange marmalade
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- ½ tsp sesame oil
- 3 tbsp sesame seeds
- green onions, chopped (optional garnish)
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
- Using a paper towel, pat dry your chicken wings. This step isn't 100% necessary, but if you like crispy skin on your wings it really helps!
- Mix baking powder, salt and pepper in a large bowl and add chicken wings. Toss to coat.
- Line a large baking tray with aluminum foil and set some wire racks on it. Place the chicken wings in a single layer along the racks. Bake for 30 minutes.
- Turn the oven up to 425 degrees, and bake the wings for an additional 30 minutes, rotating the wings half way through.
- In a large bowl, mix together all the sauce ingredients. Toss the chicken wings in the sauce and return them to the oven for 5 more minutes so the sauce can get nice and sticky.
- Sprinkle wings with sesame seeds and chopped green onions and serve immediately.
