A new video shows that the next iPhone will be ever-so-slightly thicker, making it safe from bending in rear pockets.
Apple’s iPhone 6 encountered something it couldn’t always conquer: men’s backsides.

When the phone came out last fall, some customers reported that the phone slightly bent after they sat on it because it was in their back pocket. Dubbed “You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Log in or register now.,” the problem made its fear-mongering rounds in the press at the time.

But now, a new video from Unbox Therapy, shows that Apple’s next iPhone (if we can believe this is it), will be ever-so-slightly thicker, which will avoid any kind of bending. The phone’s back panel in the video is 138.26mm x 67.16mm, compared to the iPhone 6 which is 138.09mm x 66.91mm. Though very small, it’s that difference that could prevent the infamous bending, according to Unbox Therapy’s Lewis Hilsenteger.

The back panel in Hilsenteger’s video seems to match You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Apple will reported hold an event on September 9 this year, where this upcoming phone would be revealed if all rumors align.
