Food and Recipe Inubarang manok of Iloilo

    Panakot (SANGKAP):

    1 whole chicken chopped (mas maige daw kung "NATIVE" kung wala regular na manok na nabibili sa inyong suking tindahan)
    Ubad
    Libas (a leaf that is used for a souring agent)
    Tanglad (Lemongrass)
    Coconut milk (It depends what school of thought are you from, this could be omitted. I personally like it creamy)
    Ginger, Garlic and Onion
    Salt and Pepper to taste

    PARAAN (Paagi):

    1) Igisa sibuyas, luya, bawang at manok hanggang maluto at bumango ito. Ibuhos ang chicken broth o tubig kung walang broth, yung tama lang hanggang matakpan ang manok o nakalubog sa tubig ang manok. Pakuluin, i-simmer hanggang lumambot ang manok.

    2) Mga sa kalahati ng pagluluto (halimbawa, 30 minutes paglambot mga 15 minutes) ilagay ang ubad at ang tanglad o lemongrass.

    3) Maghintay pa ng 5 minutes, ilagay naman libas at kalahati ng gata. Kapag lumambot na ang manok ihalo ang natitirang gata. Timplahan ng naaayon sa inyong panlasa.
