Everyone thinks July 29 is the last day you can switch to Windows 10 for free.

Well, Think again. o_O

Yes! You can still upgrade! :) and we have 3 ways to do this . . . .

Plan A : Tweaking the system clock/date.

Revert you system clock/date back to July 28, this will re-enable the windows upgrade button and re-activate the upgrade prompt. The prompt will re-appear and give you the option to start the upgrade.

If plan A didn't work. here's the Plan B.

Plan B: Entering a valid Win 7 / Win 8 Product Key

If you have a valid(legit) Windows 7 or Windows 8 product key from your previous or current OS. You can download Windows 10 ISO / Installer and then enter a valid Win 7 / Win 8 key during the Windows 10 installation process.

If Plan A and B is of no use, Here's a 100% working, Plan C.

Plan C: Use this link: You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Log in or register now.

When on the page, Click on the Upgrade now button.
Run the executable file to install the upgrade.
Run the Update Assistant and follow the on-screen instructions.
Voila! You just upgraded to Windows 10 even after July 29 free upgrade offer has ended.

**NOTE:
When you’re downloading the Update Assistant Tool from the site, check if it’s a file titled “Windows10Upgrade9252.exe” or if it’s “Windows10Upgrade24074.exe”. If it’s ending in 24074, then you have nothing to worry about.

Explanation of plan C.

Note that microsoft has ended free upgrade offer of Windows 10 for the general public. but you can still get the free upgrade offer at anytime, if you are a user of "assistive technologies" installed on windows os like Magnifier, a digital magnifying glass for those with poor vision, Speech Recognition a screen-reader app that vocalizes text, etc.

Microsoft spent time improving Windows 10 to make it more accessible to people with disabilities who make use of assistive technologies with their PCs and decided to extend the deadline for getting the Windows 10 free upgrade.

Microsoft stated "We are not restricting the free upgrade offer to specific assistive technologies. If you use assistive technology on Windows, you are eligible for the free upgrade offer."

The good thing is you don't necessarily need to prove that you are actually using assistive technologies at all in order to download the upgrade files.
