Discussion in 'Internet Tricks Questions' started by mikedota2, Sep 23, 2013.

  1. REQUIREMENTS:

    USB modem
    PC/Laptop
GLobe prepaid simcard/s (new or old)
    VPN (HSS Installer)

    MODEM SETTINGS:

    Make new profile
Set your DNS primary as 10.198.220.112, secondary 8.8.8.8
    apn > http.globe.com.ph
    access number > *99#

    ABOUT MB15 promo:

POWERSURF MB15 with 20MB of mobile internet. Service is valid for 2 Days.

    PROCEDURES CONDUCTED:

    A. NEW Globe tested (yung may kulay yellow):

Load your simcard 15 pesos to register MB15, text MB15 to 8888. Wait until your registration confirmed.
Close all browser, apps/softwares, services that are needing internet before you attempt to connect your modem.
    Connect modem
Check your internal ip address by going to cmd prompt type ipconfig/all. Find your IPv4 Ip address.
Open another cmd prompt > then ping your IPv4 address; ex: ping 10.21.12.12 -t
    ping also 10.198.220.112 -t > also ping 202.126.40.5 > also ping 74.209.160.12 -t
    Open HSS app then connect.
Try to Browse. > Browser settings = no proxy
    OBSERVATIONS of procedure A.
The IP address of 10.216.x.x can browse when initially have an open pinger of ipv4 address (without any other pinger open and without HSS connected) unlike Procedure B. later we will discussed.
The IP address of 10.115.x.x have an occurence of no ping response of 10.198.220.112 (request timeout)
The IP address of 10.217.x.x, the pinger of 2 dns 10.198.220.112 and 202.126.40.5 lost at a certain time (with a vpn connected of port 9200)
The IP address of 10.216.x.x and 10.100.x.x has no ping of 10.198.220.112 (with HSS connected)
Connected throughout the process to 10.84.x.x with HSS and I have found out that frequent disconnection/lost of the 3 pingers (dns pingers, and 74.209.160.12 pinger)
    Bypass failed.

    B. OLD Globe ROckz sim tested:> Load your simcard 15 pesos to register MB15, text MB15 to 8888. Wait until your registration confirmed. > Close all browser, apps/softwares, services that are needing internet before you attempt to connect your modem.> Connect modem> Check your internal ip address by going to cmd prompt type ipconfig/all. Find your IPv4 Ip address.
When I continuesly ping my IP address of 10.21.x.x I cant browse unlike procedure A that I can browse even the pinger is on first.> Then what I did is. I close my pinger of ipv4 > reconnect my modem.> Connect modem> Open pinger of 74.209.160.12 then If you received successfull response then close it.> Open another cmd prompt then ping your IPv4 address; ex: ping 10.21.12.12 -t
    > ping also 10.198.220.112 -t > also ping 202.126.40.5 > also ping 74.209.160.12 -t> Browser settings = no proxy > Then I continued to browse without HSS. Then when I reached nearly 20mb, I cant browse, no text from 8888 that I expired. Next step is I connect my hSS then it connected.
I tried to browse then it loads pages. Bypassed 20 mb.

    RESULTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS:

Clearly we can see that there is difference of an old and new simcards. So I am reccommending anyone may try their simcards too.> Clearly we can see that there is also difference of every internal IP address. So I am recommending anyone to try different IP's also.> Pinging your own internal ipv4 address resulted to no browse in old sim. Unlike in new sim there is browsing.> Pinging your own internal ipv4 and dns resulted an existence in networking reported to be seeing icmp protocol packet activities. That I think is the major confusions of MB15 limitations.> Clearly we can see that in procedure A. There is disconnection of 3 pingers. And found out that speedtest of HSS has high upload result unlike the speedtest of procedure B.> This DNS 10.198.220.112 is the DNS when MB15 reached to 20mb/promoused. At first when you try to connect default modem profile with MB15 registered you can get DNS of arpa domain 202.126.40.5 as primary then in the middle of browsing when you reached 20 mb your dashboard signal back to no bars then after a few seconds back to full bar after checking nslookup again you can see that your DNS now will be 10.198.220.112 then you expired. Thats why I set my primary DNS to that DNS 10.198.220.112 during my bypassed procedures so that in case of 20mb reaching there is no switching to DNS servers because we already setted it.> A globe simcard of zero load and no registered promos. Youare aconnected to a primary DNS of 10.198.220.124. SO you can see now when you behind a promo your primary is 202.126.40.5, when 202.126.40.5 is your secondary in zeroload/no promo. And a switched to another DNS of 10.198.220.112 during expiration.> Also hopefully someone will try also to different promos.> Also hopefully someone will try also to different vpn ports.> Procedure B is successfull for me.> Procedure B, I can say that it is not 100 percent effective and successfull to anyone.> This thread is giving you an info that bypassing MB15 20 mb is very possible. Feedbacks from other members is appreciated and is a must for the sake of others.

And this thread is open for betatesting to anyone, and hopefully give feedback in this thread for their different methods used, different IP their tested and simcards. And Im sure to those members that doesnt have signal of smart in their area may try this experiment or to any members that love to track bugs and a curiosity of their own.
