fashion tips for a first date (girls)

Discussion in 'Off-Topic' started by Yours, Apr 22, 2016.

  1. Deciding what to wear for a first date can be a real dilemma. It may sound like a no brainer to some, but when you have to make a good first impression there’s additional pressure right there. At some point we’ve all been caught up in a wardrobe panic, especially if it’s a first date.

We have put together a few tips and tricks to help you find the perfect balance between chic and comfort. First and foremost, be comfortable in your own skin, have the confidence to do what most falls in line with your personal style. Go for something you can carry well and feel comfortable in.

First of all, let’s head to the makeup department. Makeup can make or break your wardrobe so be sure to keep it minimal, keep it real. Don’t go overboard trying out some unusual makeup routine. We’d suggest you should stick to your normal amount of makeup while incorporating some of the latest fall trends into your style.

Here is a list of the latest fall makeup trends:

    • Red Lips: Nothing says sê×ÿ like a red pout. It looks great on all skin tones and it’s the perfect statement. If you can carry your pout with confidence, he’ll definitely fall for that seductive red smile.
    • Pink Cheeks: Put down the bronzer! This fall is all about a natural pink flush.
Smile wide and apply pink bronzer to the apples of your cheeks, and you’re ready with a healthy pink glow.
    • Cat Eye: This one is our personal favourite- the cat eye. This look is bold and sophisticated; it has a very Audrey Hepburn thing about it.
    Little White Dress
The Little White Dress is a wardrobe essential. Chic and feminine, the dress is perfect for a day time date. Pair it up flats a clutch for a sunny day, or go for ankle boots and a small cross body bag for a ‘ready for fall’ look.

This outfit is classic girl, it says feminine and fun if it fits your personality you can’t get it wrong.

    High-Waisted Jeans
If you’re a jeans gal, go for a smart-casual look. Pair your favorite skinny jeans with a nice blouse. Nothing says effortless like light blue skinny jeans with a white blouse and a pair of *phcorner* heels. Pair it up with a nice clutch and finish with nice sunnies for a daytime look.

An evening meet up will require you to mix it up a bit with some statement jewellery such as rings or a necklace. For the evening either add a nice jacket, preferably a leather biker jacket. Or throw on a nice oversized jumper and compliment it with an oversized statement clutch.

This outfit spells simple yet classy. You’ll be comfortable knowing that you’re dressed perfectly for the occasion
Sweater Dress and Thigh High Boots
Thing high boots are back for fall and here to stay throughout the holiday season. Snug and comfortable, the sweater dresses is versatile. The best thing about the sweater dress is that it falls right into place, highlighting your curves without being too tight – sê×ÿ. For a chilly winter evening reach for a sweater dress and over the knee boots to blow him away with your edgy style. Or settle for ankle boots for a daytime look.

    Little Black Dress
The LBD is a wardrobe staple, every girl must own one. Period.

The LBD can really be worn on any occasion. For instance if you’re not sure what the nature of the activity is, wear your LBD with a comfortable pair of ballerina flats. If you follow fashion closely, you’ll be aware that most celebrities such as Gigi Hadid and Kylie Jenner have started rocking white sneakers with their dresses. And why wouldn’t they?! It’s the perfect combination of style and comfort, this way you’re not overdoing the dress and you’re at least somewhat prepared to go trekking.

    Maxi Skirt
This one is perfect for you if you’re a romantic. Go for nice pastels colours; gravitate towards off white, mink, Mint green or baby blue. For a daytime look pair it up with a silk cami in a solid colour or ‘fall’ it up with a plaid button down. Compliment the look with a pair of strappy flats.

Since crop tops have been all the rage for quite some time now, opt for a crop top and heels. Grab your jacket on your way out, it might get chilly.
