Heading into free agency, Los Angeles Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak and company had high hopes of signing LaMarcus Aldridge or DeAndre Jordan. With both players signing elsewhere, the Lakers have moved on by trading for Roy Hibbert and signing Lou Williams.

In addition to Hibbert and Williams, Brandon Bass has agreed to sign with the Lakers according to You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Log in or register now.:

"Celtics free agent forward Brandon Bass to sign with the Lakers, a source told Yahoo Sports"

After selecting D’Angelo Russell over Jahlil Okafor at the NBA Draft, the Lakers were looking to add frontcourt players to play alongside Julius Randle. While the Lakers were unable to land an All-Star, Hibbert and Bass are solid veterans that will improve the team’s depth.

With the additions of Hibbert, Williams and Bass, the Lakers could potentially be involved in a Jeremy Lin sign-and-trade with the Dallas Mavericks.

Appearing in all 82 games for the Boston Celtics this past season, Bass averaged 10.6 points and 5.5 rebounds in 23.5 minutes.
