palitan mo config and xamp or ano ba gamit mo must be accute in mysqlconnect function and db or possibly you are using connect.php file

edit mo sir yung conf.ini na script password : "";

or password:"false";

basta ang alam kong password dyan "mysql"
user:root host:localhost password: mysql

Anong gamit mo na web server? Bka nagpalit ka ng password sa GUI interface. Kpag nag palit ka dun, i match mo dun sa config.inc.php pra pumasok. O kya ireset mo pasok ka sa shell lagay mo itong command
mysqladmin --user=root password "newpassword" tpos imatch mo ulit sa config.inc.php
