7 Natural Ways to Treat Split Ends

1. Aloe Vera
It is a great moisturizer for damaged and dry hair that is prone to split ends.

Massage the aloe Vera gel that has been extracted from one to two aloe Vera leaves into your hair. Let it sit for 30 minutes and do your regular shampoo routine after.

2. Milk
It has milk proteins that encourages tissue growth and repair, plus, it provides moisture thereby treating split ends.

Simply apply one-half cup of milk directly to your hair. Then, leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse it off and shampoo your hair.
Do this once a week.

3. Honey
It has humectant property that attracts moisture from the air and thus, making it beneficial for treating split ends.

Just mix two tablespoons of honey in four cups of warm water. Shampoo your hair and then use the mixture as a rinse. Leave it on for a few minutes and then rinse it off. Do this once a week.

4. Bananas
It helps restore your hair's natural elasticity, thus minimizing breakage.

Blend together one ripe banana, two tablespoons of yogurt and a little water and lemon juice in a blender. Apply this banana hair mask on your hair. Let it sit for one hour and then wash it off. Do this one to two times a week.

5. Avocado
It is an excellent deep conditioner that can nourish and promote hair repair.

Simply mash one ripe avocado and mix in two tablespoons each of olive oil and coconut oil until you get a creamy consistency. Apply this hair mask liberally on your hair while avoiding the roots.
Let it sit for at least 30 minutes. Rinse it off and then shampoo your hair. Do this two to three times a week.

6. Egg
It is abundant in protein and essential fatty acids that help treat split ends. Plus, they will make your hair smooth, reduce tangles, and enhance resistance to breakage.

Simply apply eggs to your hair as a hair mask. Leave it on for 30 minutes and do your regular shampoo routine. Do this once a week.

7. Papaya
It contains protein that helps nourish your hair and reduce split ends.

Just blend half a papaya that has been peeled and deseeded with one-half cup of yogurt until you get a smooth mixture. Apply it on your hair and leave it on for 30 minutes. Rinse it out and then shampoo your hair. Do this once a week.
